Ph.D. Thesis

The main objective of this Ph.D. thesis is to develop a complete framework able to deal with temporal expressions in legal documents. A video explaining the thesis (in Spanish) is available here.

Expected contributions, besides the whole framework, are:

  • Dedicated NLP resources in the temporal and legal domain (such as sets of rules and semantic frames) to detect temporal relevant data in raw documents.
  • Temporal extension of existing representation options.
  • A temporal tagger focused in the legal domain prepared to take contextual information into account.

The results of the thesis can be found in Resources and Papers.

This poster for Meta-Forum 2019 presents my thesis and the results up to October 2019. It can be also found in Zenodo, and cited using its DOI.
